The saddle is good: I'm satisfied with the increase in comfort, although it is also a big increase in weight. The light is (or would be) a useful extra to have, in addition to other, 'proper' lights. However, the 2 x CR2032 batteries are behind a panel underneath secured by 4 tiny screws. They are hard to access, hard to unscrew, not, in fact, designed to be re-inserted multiple times since they are direct into plastic rather than machine screws, and to top it off the heads strip very easily. So don't expect the light to last. In which case, better to buy without.

Well padded and quite comfortable. The rubber balls give the underlying saddle a firm base for the padding. My only concern is that the thick padding causes the leather cover to flex a lot and that could cause it to crack at some point. There's no sign of this yet and at this price I'd just buy another. UPDATE. I've been using these for years now and I've done maybe 7000 miles on them. The first lasted maybe 4500 miles before it started compressing and not bouncing back, so I fitted a new one. Then at the end of 2020 the one I was using became uncomfortable. I was ill at that time and lost a lot of weight in a short space of time, but then took anti inflammatory steroids and put all the weight back on. Result, a very flabby bottom. I've tried 4 other saddles over recent months including a massive wide one, a very firm memory foam one and a highly rated soft memory foam one. I'm now back on the DripeX. The other saddles all had their good points but all of them were uncomfortable. The DripeX isn't 100% comfortable but it's a good solid saddle and the Gel is soft enough to shape to your backside. I've realised I sit slightly off to the right of the saddle. It's nothing to do with saddle height , it's the metal pin in my right leg and my stiff right knee that is the issue. This leads to the left side of the saddle always being slightly more compressed than the right side. Only the DripeX has the right combination of being soft whilst having a pressure relief channel that works with this problem. They won't suit everyone (nothing does) but they are worth a good look if you have saddles issues and want a wider comfort type saddle. Adopt a fairly upright riding position with a relatively high handlebar position as a starting point and adjust as required. Happy cycling.

I ordered blue, and got one with green trim. Daughter didn't seem to mind but... I also did not get one with a built-in light so there's obviously some different models being sold. It is comfortable and easy to fit but I think its a little to wide for my daughter - something narrower would've been better.
