Just bought a new bike that had no suspension and given the state of the roads in the UK you can imagine it was a real bone rattler. However once I installed this seat post the ride was so much more comfortable. At around 100kg I'm no lightweight and this seat post really made all the difference. Real value for money.

Suspension seat posts are no way as good as a full suspension bike but they do take the shock out of bumps for sure, this post is typical of most budget suspension seat posts, not much to it just a spring and a couple of dampers, it has only around 40mm travel if that, it can be adjusted by screwing in the bottom cap to make it stiffer if your a heavier rider, this is a nice looking post and looks well built so should last depending on your style of riding.

So I broke the rail of my Brooks Saddle on large pothole (luckily it can be repaired) and decided I needed a basic Suspension Seat Post to take a similar shock away in the future. Looked at lots and this seemed excellent value for money. Arrived and fitted today. I adjusted it fairly firm so it drops about 10mm with my weight. Setting it so it was level at same angle as before took a couple of minutes but the 2 adjusting screws means you can do it very accurately. You just need to slacken one a half turn and tighten the other a half turn then when exactly right tighten both by the same amount. It feels solid and well made. Very happy with this purchase
