I honestly can't fault this for the money. I bought it to swap out a failed BB on my trail bike and I have no complaints whatsoever. I'll admit, it's not the lightest BB I've ever used (I probably wouldn't choose to run it on my carbon race bikes where I actually care about weight) but at this end of the price spectrum even if it lasts me through the winter on the trails I'll be happy. Installation is easy as with all BSA BBs. Whilst I can't comment on longevity as yet, I see no reason why this shouldn't last for thousands of miles. The bearing seals appear to be high quality and should do a good enough job of keeping the dirt out! I can highly recommend this for the money!

This failed after just 3 months and when I took it out it became stuck, bearings all fell to pieces with dirt coming with it that had gone into the bearings due to poor seals. The bearings I then found out are a one size fits all with this company just putting plastic spacers to make it fit any size. DO NOT be tempted by this products low price it is a manufacturing disgrace and should not be sold for more than 10 pence. Utter disgrace do not buy unless you want to ruin your crankset with a stupid plastic bearing spacer getting stuck to it and having to hammer it off. Absolute waste of money, should have just bought a shimano one in the first place.

I only bought this because of what seems like a shortage of Shimano XTR bottom brackets. I figured that this might tide me over for a few months. I expected it to be a cheap copy of one of the cheaper Shimano BBs. Instead it has, what appears on the surface, to be superior, properly sealed, bearings. Just like the XTR BB in fact! Yes, the plastic caps feel inferior, and the finish doesn't give the impression of being as durable as a Shimano XTR. But, it all fits nicely, the sealed bearings run smoothly and it all torques up properly. Fitted, and first impressions in use, I can't really fault it. In fact I can't really fault it at all for £13! In conclusion, if the thought of a grumbling bottom bracket brings you out n a cold sweat, stick with getting your local bike shop to fit an XTR one for you (assuming they can get one.) If you have the correct tools, and changing a BB takes you ten minutes, it might be worth considering one of these, at least for Winter months, and simply change it more frequently if the bearings cark up. Well worth its 5 stars for the price, as it means I can get out and ride for now.
